No. Penny is built to sit alongside whatever you already use. Capture marks quickly with your voice, then export or sync them into your system of record whenever it suits you.

Yes — Penny is designed mobile-first. She works in any modern browser on your phone, tablet or laptop.

Penny works on iPhone for everything except voice capture. You can manage your classes, view assessments, review marks, and export results on any device. Voice mark capture — where you speak learner names and marks aloud — currently requires Chrome on Android or desktop due to browser limitations. If you are an iPhone user, manual mark entry works beautifully and all other features are fully available. We are working on bringing voice capture to iPhone — watch this space.

Absolutely. Voice is the fast path, but typing in a mark is always one tap away. Penny is here to help, not to dictate.

Nothing gets saved silently. Uncertain captures drop into your review queue so you can confirm, correct or discard them before they touch your records.

Penny gradually learns the names you teach. The more you use her with your class, the better she gets at recognising names accurately.

Marks are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your classes and assessments are only ever visible to you, on secure cloud infrastructure.

Teachers in primary and high school classrooms who do a lot of formative or section-based assessment and would rather not type it all in.
